Thanks for the help so far! Downloaded djtriple9's lpd8 mapper. Posted Wed 02 Jan 19 I am interested in what the actual script is though too, so I can stop using the tab key. Launched VDJ and now everything is fine. I never got a straight answer if it worked.

I wanted to customize it with the default mapping in VDJ but it did not do what i asked the controller to do For example, i set Pad 1 as pause, but it did not react.
In numerous posts looking for support, I find repsonses to questions like vrtual I mxpper a backup copy of the VirtualDJ folder. I'm ok with one of the effects. I'm trying to map something else at the minute with limited knowledge.
Mappdr instructions given by the coders in the installation files are poorly written, incomplete, and hard to follow, even for an advanced user. Thanks for your help! Posted Tue 01 Jan 19 8: I could be doing something wrong and I'm slowly losing hope.
Just bear in mind that the knob functions are different, depending on whether the FX mode is in 'multi' or 'single'. I copied the Akaj Custom Mapping file that works properly to the working VirtualDJ folder, but the Effect order does not correctly change to the one I want.

When I try to map it myself with key learn it stops working. It does work with version 7 on Mac, and 6 and 7 for P. Lps8 Cactus Home user Member since I made sure i quit all of the apps before running the editor to make sure that nothing causes any problems; still nothing.
I have recently started to play around with DJing and purchased the Numark PartyMix as a starter deck. If it doesnt work at all, do this Where did they get the information to know how to make the xml and mapping files?

Unfortunately i won't be able viftual download the presets that are on the virtualdj website as my license does not permit that im only using the one from my controller - numark partymix.
I think I've read just about any thread about this controller and downloaded all the presets but it still seems not to be working.
It came with the VDJ limited license. Only some vague reply that you couldn't change the program which is nothing to do with vdj mapping itself.
